East Newnan Baptist Church
East Newnan Baptist Church (ENBC) Missions
One of the important commands God gave His children is found in Matthew 28:19-20, which says, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” East Newnan Baptist Church fulfills the commission in accordance with the words found in Acts 1:8: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” It is our ambition to bring light to the darkness and we accomplish that by:
Women on Mission (WOM)
ENBC has a very active WOM group. They meet the second Tuesday of each month at 10am for fellowship, bible study, prayer and discussion in the area of Missions. They also work with various other activities from crafting witnessing tools in their craft group to delivering cookies to our local public safety in appreciation of their sacrifices. WOM is one arm of the Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) which challenges Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God. If you would like more information on WMU visit www.WMU.com
Matthew 5:14 says, “You are the light of the World.” This starts within our own community. ENBC serves in our community in partnership with several local organizations such as RATL, Live the RIVERLIFE, and ServeCoweta. Our student ministry routinely partners with local organizations and their partners to provide blessings to people as they gain opportunities to bring glory and honor to the LORD. They have worked with Bridging the Gap, One Roof, Salvation Army, RATL, and others as they shared how the Gospel has worked in and through their lives.
North American Missions
As a Southern Baptist Church, we support the North American Mission Board, (NAMB) which embraces the visions of Acts 1:8. The NAMB is the Southern Baptist entity empowered to assist churches to reach North America for Christ. At ENBC, we directly support the NAMB and their missionaries such as Matt and Laura Lawson who are church planters in Los Angeles Califonia. To see more about their story visit www.storycitychurch.com. Additionally, our student ministry serves in this capacity through summer camps and other national ministries.
ENBC is a part of an incredible sending agency called the International Mission Board (IMB). Their goal, and ours, when it comes to international missions is evangelism, discipleship, and planting reproducing churches among all peoples in accordance to the Great Commission, Matthew 28:19-20. Our vision is to see the multitude of people from every nation, country and tribe come to know and worship our Lord, Jesus Christ. We support and participate in the Lottie Moon Christmas offering, Operations Christmas Child and short term international mission teams. We are a proud sending church who has sent several individuals and families on long term international missions as well.
Please be in prayer for all of our missionaries and their mission.
